Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)
The college ensures a safe and congenial environment for the learning and personal development of its students. To facilitate this, the college has established a grievance mechanism that encourages students to express individual and group concerns related to academic and non-academic issues without fear or apprehension. To justify the promises of the cell it is Vigilant and Strict in maintaining the rules and regulations within the campus. The Disciplinary Committee is responsible for all disciplinary activities, and an effective team drives the machinery regarding campus discipline.
Objectives
- To ensure that the officials of the College are approachable, accountable, and courteous towards the students and uphold harmony on the campus.
- To provide fast and effective solutions to students’ grievances in a non-discriminatory and just manner.
- To implement an effective mechanism to submit grievances of the students concerning infrastructure and support services.
- To develop a transparent mechanism for interaction between students and staff to collect information regarding any grievances.
- To develop confidence and encourage the students to express their grievances freely without any fear of being victimized.
University Grant Commission (UGC) guidelines notified code no. F1-16/2009 [CPP-II] dated 21/10/2009 on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 (under section 26(1)(g) of the UGC Act 1956) are strictly implemented.
- Orientation Programme is conducted for freshers and parents to familiarize them with anti-ragging measures, what constitutes ragging, and the consequences to be faced.
- Awareness programmes on Anti-Ragging and rally campaigns are conducted periodically by our NSS unit.
- Anti-ragging display boards and banners containing the evils of ragging and the administrative actions in the event of ragging are displayed around the campus.
- An Anti-Ragging Squad is constituted and works under the overall guidance of the Anti-Ragging Committee to ensure the implementation of anti-ragging policies.
