Calicut Islamic Cultural Society (CICS) was established in 1977 with the sole purpose of commitment to the education, social, economic, and moral advancement and rehabilitation of the weaker sections of the society. The society is recognized by the Government of India, the Government of Kerala and the Central Wakf Council. The main campus of the society is at Sneha Nagar, Kolathara, Calicut with an area of eleven acres of land, just ten kilometers away from Calicut city. The society has another campus at M.G. Nagar, Mathara in Olavanna Grama Panchayath (comprising an area of 16 acres) which is about eight kilometers from the city. Peekay CICS Arts and Science College is one of the institutions functioning under CICS.

The institutions mentioned above are able to function well with the support of the government and the patronage of many well wishers and benevolent people.
